Personality Clues in Footwear

Research suggests your shoes give away more than you think about your personality. Over 60 college students studied photos of shoes to predict  the wearer's age, gender, political afflictions and attachment issues, as well as approximate income. According to the study's author, shoes convey a thin but useful slice of information about their wearers. Sometimes they are accurate and sometimes they are not. So read on to learn what your shoes says about you.

High-heeled shoes: uncomfortable looking shoes are worn by calm personalities.

Colourful shoes: No surprises, you're an extrovert.

Practical shoes: Functional footwear generally belongs to agreeable people.

Ankle boots: This style tends to fit with more aggressive personality.

Expensive shoes: A huge-earner tends to wear their wealth on their feet. Stereotypes that expensive shoe owners are less agreeable, more likely to be republican, failed to match up with people's actual personalities and political views.

New shoes: Brand new and well cared for shoes can signal a person has 'attachment anxiety' or could be worried about thier relationships generally.

Shabby shoes: Just like the hippy stereotype- you're a liberal thinker and tend to be more extroverted and emotionally stable.

Snazzy sneaks: People who wear bright colourful brand name sneakers tend to be more emotionally stable, they're less-likely to have attachment anxiety, a personality trait marked by ambivalence and negativity.
